Esta investigación se realiza en un Colegio Técnico Profesional del Ministerio de Educación Pública, debido a que es la institución encargada de la educación técnica pública costarricense y prepara estos estudiantes en el ámbito nacional. Conocer la realidad académica de los educandos es una necesidad, ya que se supone que los programas de estudio de la especialidad de Secretariado Ejecutivo han sido modificados, según las exigencias del siglo XXI y la idea es validar esas modificaciones curriculares. Para la población en estudio, aplica la modificación del año 2004. Es importante identificar si estos cambios han sido suficientes para proporcionarles a los estudiantes las herramientas necesarias para su desempeño laboral. Entonces, esta investigación comprende la población de estudiantes egresados entre los años 2005-2007 del Colegio Técnico Profesional de Heredia, debido a que el Ministerio de Educación Pública había implementado una modificación de los programas de estudio de la especialidad técnica de Secretariado Ejecutivo.An analysis of the impact of the academic training of students graduating from the technical area of Executive Secretariat of the Professional Technical College of Heredia and their insertion in the Costa Rican private labor market.
