Se analizan aspectos tales como lugar, país y año de publicación; el idioma de la investigación y de la publicación; el sexo del investigador y su filiación académica. Los resultados muestran los principales focos de producción por país, un alto índice de mujeres que concluyen estudios doctorales y los principales temas de investigación, así como los que no han sido estudiado aún.This article presents the findings of a bibliometric study carried out on a corpus of 108 doctoral theses in translation and interpretation studies (TIS) produced in Spanish America or with a Spanish American theme. Aspects analyzed include place, country and year of publication; the language used in the research and publication; and the researcher’s sex and academic affiliation.
