Los referentes teóricos van desde el concepto freudiano de lo siniestro, pasando por la noción de vacilación característica de Tzvetan Todorov, hasta el espanto producido por el absurdo estudiado por Víctor Bravo, todos los cuales conforman una unidad narrativa.This article studies the narrative of Silvina Ocampo in her book La furia y otros cuentos in order to present an interpretative approach to the “Fantastic” from the author’s perspective. Within its theoretical framework, the study starts with Sigmund Freud’s concept of “the sinister”, continues with Tzvetan Todorov’s concept of “vacillation” and finishes with Víctor Bravo’s concept of “the horror” produced by “the absurd”.
