Para implantar la UCI se trasladó el equipo y materiales disponibles al área utilizada para cirugía menor; primeramente se les evalúa rápidamente y se clasifican de acuerdo a su triaje,y como último paso se realizaron exámenes y se tomaron muestras biológicas. La muestra fue de 192 especies que se clasificaron según triage dentro de las categorías.Implantation of an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Minor and Wild Species Hospital of the School of Veterinary Medicine of the National University was carried out under the supervision of Dr. Mauricio Jiménez and lasted 6 months.
