Este museo albergará materiales y colecciones especializadas o diversas que representen las características propias de la región, ya sea desde una perspectiva geográfica, administrativa o cultural. Asimismo, tendrá la misión de ofrecer información sobre la flora y fauna originales, los elementos que se han perdido y la importancia de que el ser humano transforme su visión etnocentrista en su relación con el entorno natural.The Pérez Zeledón Regional Section plays a fundamental role in the region as the entity responsible for higher education. In accordance with the aims, principles, and functions that guide its academic and administrative work, it has incorporated the creation of the Southern Regional Museum into its institutional projects. This museum will house specialized and diverse materials and collections that represent the region's unique characteristics, whether from a geographical, administrative, or cultural perspective.
