Primero se hace una revisión teórica sobre el tema y luego se analizan los resultados de algunas las investigaciones que se han realizado en otros contextos. Los resultados señalan que los estudiantes perciben a las Matemáticas como una disciplina útil, pero difícil, que se aprende mediante la repetición de ejercicios y las creencias que poseen son producto de experiencias vividas durante su proceso formativo.This paper describes the influence that students’ beliefs have in regard to mathematics education. First, a theoretical review about the topic is done and then the results of researches in others contexts are analyzed. The results indicate that the students perceive Mathematics as a useful discipline but difficult, learned by exercise repetition.
