El trabajo fue dirigido a realizar un estudio cualitativo para proponer un sistema de gestión documental para el manejo de expedientes digitales en la Unidad de Protección Radiológica, Sede Central del Ministerio de Salud, ubicado en la provincia de San José, Costa Rica. El proyecto de investigación se planteó desde la problemática de dicha Unidad, ya que, presenta la necesidad de contar con un sistema de gestión documental, específicamente para el manejo de expedientes digitales. De este modo, se propuso como objetivo general analizar los procesos administrativos de la Unidad de Protección Radiológica, Sede Central del Ministerio de Salud de Costa Rica, con el fin de diseñar un sistema de gestión documental digital, en el periodo 2022. Así que, para dicho análisis, se aplicaron diferentes instrumentos de recolección de datos a los sujetos de investigación y a la Unidad en general; con el propósito de dar una propuesta de acceso digital a los expedientes existentes, la cual ofreció una solución a las necesidades de la Unidad de Protección Radiológica. Finalmente, se muestra la propuesta de diseño, conclusiones y recomendaciones a las que se llega como resultado del proceso que se ejecutó a lo largo del proyecto de investigación.This report corresponds to the results of the Final Graduation Project called “Document management system for the management of digital files, in the Radiological Protection Unit, Central Headquarters of the Ministry of Health of Costa Rica, in the period 2022”, under the project modality, in order to opt for the degree Bachelor's Degree in Office Administration. The work was aimed at carrying out a qualitative study to propose a system document management for the management of digital files in the Information Unit Radiological Protection, Central Headquarters of the Ministry of Health, located in the province of San Jose Costa Rica. The research project was raised from the problems of said Unit, since which presents the need to have a document management system, specifically for the management of digital files. In this way, the general objective was proposed to analyze the processes administrative duties of the Radiological Protection Unit, Central Headquarters of the Ministry of Health of Costa Rica, in order to design a digital document management system, in the period 2022. So, for this analysis, different collection instruments were applied of data to the research subjects and to the Unit in general; for the purpose of giving a proposal for digital access to existing files, which offered a solution to the needs of the Radiological Protection Unit.
