The purpose of this research is to investigate the influence of special educational needs (SEN) on the socio-affective and academic integration of second cycle children at La Repunta school. It is descriptive, since it aims to obtain information on the subject and measures the variables independently. The bibliography consulted shows that SEN have always existed and that they have evolved along with society, presenting three stages: the time of the institutions where a medical-pathological model predominated, the assistance stage and the principle of normalization, which marks the evolution of the current concept that recognizes the individual with SEN as a member of society endowed with all rights. To guarantee these rights, legislation has been created to ensure their maximum development and proper integration into society and the productive world. To collect and systematize the data, two direct and closed questionnaires were designed and applied to fifteen children with SEN and seven teachers; the sample was not used because we worked with the entire population. The results show that SEN can negatively influence the child's integration into the group, socio-affective area and school success, limiting his or her integral development. The conclusions indicate that children with SEN have difficulties in interpersonal relationships, communication, assertive conflict resolution, socio-affective area and academic performance; in addition, teachers do not have adequate training to serve this population. It is recommended to foster group unity, work on self-esteem, self-concept, expression of feelings, following goals and objectives and establishing study schedules; in addition, to offer training to teachers. The limitations presented are: working only with children with SEN of the second cycle of the La Repunta School, it is not possible to ensure that the influence of SEN is present in similar populations; in addition, the population's responses may be subjective and not reflect reality.es_ES
