Lineamientos para un plan de desarrollo turístico local en el cantón de Pérez Zeledón y Pacífico Sur (distrito Bahía Ballena), en el cual se puedan explotar los principales atractivos turísticos de cada uno de los distritos.

Abstract

Esta investigación tuvo como propósito determinar cuáles deben ser los lineamientos que debe seguir el cantón de Pérez Zeledón y el distrito de Bahía Ballena, para poder lograr un desarrollo turístico acorde con el potencial de sus principales atractivos. Esta investigación es de tipo cuantitativa, descriptiva y explicativa. Se definió como población de estudio todos los empresarios turísticos que pertenezcan a TURISUR, a la Cámara de Comercio, Turismo, Industria y Agricultura de Pérez Zeledón y demás que se encuentren identificados por el Instituto de Costarricense de Turismo, turistas nacionales y extranjeros que visitan el cantón de Pérez Zeledón y el distrito Bahía Ballena (Osa) entidades financieras presentes en el cantón de Pérez Zeledón, que tengan dentro de su oferta, créditos para desarrollo empresarial, Instituciones académicas que dentro de su oferta esté la carrera o curso de Turismo o afín, es importante mencionar que para determinar la muestra del tipo de turista que visita el cantón de Pérez Zeledón y el distrito de Bahía Ballena, la misma se determinó a conveniencia, esto debido a que no hay estadísticas o estudios anteriores por parte del Instituto Costarricense de Turismo, Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Censos, o alguna otra Institución que brinde información veras sobre la cantidad de turistas que visitan la región de Pérez Zeledón y Bahía Ballena, segundo, a nivel nacional el Instituto Costarricense de Turismo aplica encuestas en donde utiliza como muestra 600 turistas (300 nacionales y 300 extranjeros), por lo que para la presente investigación se utiliza como muestra 60 turistas (30 nacionales y 30 extranjeros), es decir, un 10% de la muestra utilizada por el ICT, tercero, la muestra de interés está conformada por personas mayores de 18 años. Para la recopilación de la información las técnicas utilizadas fueron la entrevista y la observación.
