dc.description.abstractEsta investigación justifica la necesidad de establecer pautas que regulen la traducción de fragmentos de leyes y códigos costarricenses presentes en documentos de tipo jurídico-comercial. Por medio de una exhaustiva revisión teórica en el área del Derecho se presentan aspectos acerca de la traducción legal en Costa Rica y sus antecedentes de interés para el traductor, al tiempo que se define la traducción jurídica desde la óptica jurídico-comercial por medio de un análisis detallado de sus características estructurales, sus condiciones actuales y las del traductor jurídico. Por medio de un corpus documental híbrido de tipo jurídico-comercial se contextualiza situación actual a la que se enfrenta el traductor jurídico contratado por empresas consultoras para trabajar con textos jurídico comerciales; y por medio del subsecuente análisis con respecto a las decisiones traductológicas tomadas por los traductores a cargo de los testos del corpus de reflexiona sobre las implicaciones legales resultantes del trabajo realizado. El compendio documental, que se analiza desde la óptica micro y macroestructural, expone parte del escenario actual del traductor jurídico en Costa Rica sino las a partir del momento mismo de su contratación ya que fue por medio de la retroalimentación que la Promotora de Comercio Exterior de Costa Rica (PROCOMER) compartió al respecto de la Ley de Zonas Francas. Finalmente, que fue posible delimitar la investigación. Este proyecto concluye que es necesario realizar un proceso de unificación textual de los fragmentos de leyes o códigos que, para efectos prácticos, compense la ausencia de una versión oficial de la ley y códigos al inglés.es_ES
dc.description.abstractThis study is focused on the search for patterns that govern the translation of Costa Rican laws and codes. These bodies of law have been included as fragments in legal commercial documents. Therefore, a theoretical review is made first, in the area of law; this review is focused on those aspects of interest for the translator in regards to the legal translation in Costa Rica and its background. Then, the legal translation is defined based on the legal-commercial point of view by means of a detailed analysis of their structural characteristics, their current condition and the characteristics of the legal translator. bA hybrid corpus of documents of legal-commercial kind serves as a window that shows the current situation that the translator is facing; also, it allows to contextualize the translation decisions applied to the fragments of laws and codes and to deep in the analysis of the implications of these decisions from a legal point of view. Once the compendium of documents is examined from the micro and macro point of view, the reality and implications of the translation of laws and codes within the current scenario of the Costa Rican legal translator is analyzed. This framework allows performing a research on the recruitment process of legal translators in the public and private sector on the basis of the specific case of the Costa Rican Foreign Trade Promoter of (PROCOMER) and the Free Zones Act. Finally, it is possible to set up the guidelines of this topic that in general are based on a textual standardization for all practical purposes that compensates the absence of an official version in English of the act and codes.es_ES
